Minnetronix Receives Medical Technology Award at the 2008 Tekne Awards

ST. PAUL, Minn. October 31, 2008 — Minnetronix, Inc. has been named the small & growing company recipient of the Medical Technology Award at the 2008 Tekne Awards, which were held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Oct. 30. The Tekne Awards honor superior technology advancement and leadership in Minnesota.
Minnetronix is a medical device design and manufacturing firm located in St. Paul, Minn., where medical device companies, large and small, are thriving and continue to drive advancements in medical applications. Beginning as a three person start-up in 1996, Minnetronix continues its strong growth and increasing success today currently employing over 135 people and working on over 30 projects for firms worldwide.

The Tekne Awards, presented by MHTA in partnership with Enterprise Minnesota and LifeScience Alley, annually recognizes Minnesota’s leading technology users and innovators. Tekne Award recipients represent a collection of industry leaders advancing Minnesota’s status as a hub for technology innovation.

Judges selected one recipient out of three finalists in each of the 17 Tekne Awards categories recognizing the best and brightest in development, education, commercialization, and management of technology. Company awards included separate categories for small and growing businesses (with annual revenues under $50 million) and established businesses (with annual revenues of $50 million or more).
