Minnetronix Receives ‘Small Business of Excellence Award’

SAINT PAUL, Minn.– May 22, 2006–Minnetronix, Inc., a Saint Paul-based medical device contract design and manufacturing firm, has been selected as the manufacturing category recipient of the 25th Annual "Small Business Award of Excellence."

Minnetronix specializes in developing software and electronics-based medical devices, and in turnkey contract manufacturing of finished electronics-based medical devices. They provide expertise on equipment such as cardiovascular systems, diagnostic instruments, implantable devices, monitoring equipment, and therapeutic devices. Founded in 1996, Minnetronix has grown from three employees to over ninety, and is in the midst of a building expansion which will double its facility size to 44,000 sq. ft.

This award, presented by the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, recognizes growth, excellence, risk, diversity and innovation in businesses in the Saint Paul Area including Dakota, Ramsey and Washington counties.

Minnetronix works together with its customers to develop state-of-the-art medical devices, applying software and electronics technology, proprietary development and manufacturing systems and structured and refined development processes.

This award recognizes the success of Minnetronix' talented, dedicated staff and their innovative product design, manufacturing, technical and business processes. Minnetronix' processes utilize a proprietary database system that unifies administrative, engineering, manufacturing and quality documentation and automates steps that are repeated from project to project.
