A Totally Implantable Controller for Use with Rotary LVADs

Penn State/3M and Minnetronix developed an implantable motor controller and TETS system for the total artificial heart (TAH) system to eliminate the percutaneous cable. The system was successfully implanted in several animals. Results are reported for updating both the TETS and implantable controller for use with LVADs to improve the construction and implantation of the TETS coils and controller.
