The Device

The ThermoChem™ HT-2000 allows physicians to administer IntraPeritoneal Hyperthermia (IPH) as an adjunct treatment for oncology-based surgeries.

The Challenge

Our client required a team with expertise in medical fluid integration and thermodynamics to produce ThermaSolutions’ next-generation device. The new system needed physical enhancements – a significantly smaller device footprint and reduced weight – as well as functional improvements including the ability to warm fluids faster, provide highly accurate temperature control of circulating fluids, and meet current safety standards. Our team met the client’s requirements for a precise, consistent, and safe fluid delivery system by leveraging in-house fluid management design processes and our deep knowledge of fluid flow dynamics. Efficient sourcing of components accelerated the client’s ability to bring their hyperthermia device to market. Our team delivered a smaller, lighter, and more robust system that was less than half of the size of the original device and reduced water heating time by 80%.
