Minnetronix Medical has been selected as the 2025 Minnesota Manufacturing Awards winner by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal in the Product Innovation of the Year category; Minnetronix earned the recognition for its role in developing and manufacturing Conavi Medical’s groundbreaking, next-generation Novasight Hybrid™ System. The product features simultaneous Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging capabilities — the first and only such device for interventional cardiologists to see inside a blood vessel from these two different perspectives at the same time.
Novasight enables physicians to properly size vessels, assess disease, identify in-stent failures, diagnose presence and location of calcium (measuring thickness and arc within the vessel), improve procedural outcomes, and enhance patient care. It has U.S. 510(k) FDA clearance and regulatory approval for clinical use from Health Canada and the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, Japan. The next generation of NovaSight launches in early 2026.

The award is the second for Minnetronix Medical, which was named overall Manufacturer of the Year Award by the Business Journal in 2021. The company has also received three TEKNE Awards from the Minnesota Technology Association, celebrating its technological innovation and workforce excellence for medical technology, best medical device, and tech talent development.
Manufacturing is Minnesota’s second-largest employment sector, with up to $61 billion in revenue annually. There are more than 700 med device companies in the state – known as “Medical Alley” — and 30,000 people work in device manufacturing, the second-largest talent pool in the sector in the U.S.
