Minnetronix Medical was recognized with a TEKNE Award for Tech Talent Development and NaTalie Neidenfeuhr was recognized as a finalist in the Rising Star category at the 2024 TEKNE Awards Ceremony at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Nov. 14. The TEKNE Awards are presented by the Minnesota Technology Association (MnTech) and recognizes top technology companies, products, and talent in Minnesota.
Minnetronix was nominated for tech talent development this year. The award recognizes innovative approaches or operating excellence in the hiring, development, and retention of tech talent, and embraces forward-thinking approaches and initiatives.
After the COVID pandemic, tight labor markets manufacturing, engineering and technology were impacting business growth in those sectors. To meet 30% business growth, Minnetronix’s HR team implemented a creative recruitment and development strategy. This included partnerships with educational institutions, the RISE internship program, and the LEAP employee group for young professionals. These efforts helped recruit diverse talent and retain employees with hands-on, real-world experience.
Minnetronix is no stranger to the TEKNEs, as they won for its MindsEye™ Exapandable Port in 2021. Process Development Engineer Tali Niedenfeuhr was also named a finalist in the Rising Star category in this year’s nomination cycle.
